welcome.

Hello, I am Canarie and this is my place of curiosities. It is where I will share my affinities for the written word, the illustrative story, historical facts, the beauty of flora and the mysteries of the natural world from my eyes.
I am developing my artistic sensibilities and would love to share what I do someday to the world. Here is my small step towards that.
It's very nice meeting you...

elsewhere.

canarie black -- the culmination of all my places in one convenient spot.

canarie's cavalcade of sorts -- a collection of niceties and other sorted things i've found on the web.

tiny thoughts -- does this canarie sing? most likely not but i do fancy a twitter or two.

little delights.

  • spiderwebs but not spiders
  • andrew bird
  • liquorice toffees
  • the british character
  • morning, afternoon and evening tea
  • small spoons
  • peter the wild boy
  • naturalists and botanists
  • old cartography
  • spoonfuls of lemon curd

Others I fancy.

where ada shares -- a littlebighead blogs about art, life and everything in between.

the fox and the hare -- a collective of nouns gathered and assembled such as 'a skulk of foxes' and 'a husk of hares'.

tweets of old -- tidbits of newspapers from the late 19th century through the early 20th century and a mass of visual inspiration.

elsewhere -- where louise jennison shares her immaculate drawings and watercolors of lovelies from the natural world.

silhouette masterpiece theatre -- wilhelm staehle, the master at silhouette art and tongue in cheek titles

high up in the trees -- unique collages, tales of gracia louise and little insights into gracia haby's world

fine rare prints -- purveyor of thousands of antique prints from exotic creatures, old maps and strange plants to list a few

edie pomegranate & wilhemina moss -- two lovelies I am waiting to hear more about

pasadena mansions -- vibrant and beautiful paintings, drawings and sewn creations from elaine haby

harry whittier frees -- american photographer of novelty postcards and children's books based on his anthropomorphic pictures of animals

the yeti club
-- a tiny online club started by a mother and daughter, let's be friends with yetis!

telegrams always welcomed.
